Preparation for implantate

Buy a tube of Emla anaesthaetic ointment at the pharmacy.

1½ hours before insertion or extraction of the implantate put a string of ointment on the inside of your upper arm.

Start 6-7 cm from the elbow and continue 6-7 cm upwards. Fix the Emla plaster in place with cling film which is taped over the top of the Emla plaster.

The implantate should be inserted in the grove below the biceps muscle.
If you are right handed put the ointment on your left arm and on your right arm if you are left handed.
