Helsingborg General Hospital

We are one of Region Skåne´s four complete emergency hospitals. Our mission is to provide advanced emergency healthcare around the clock, with 24-hour cover within all specialisations. The hospital is also responsible for certain local healthcare services, and provides specialist planned care.

Our vision is to become Skåne´s best emergency hospital. We work based on four perspectives: The stakeholder/patient perspective, The employee perspective, The operational perspective and The financial perspective.

Helsingborg General Hospital is divided into nine operational areas: Emergency Centre, Child and Adolescent Medicine, Diagnostics, Head, Neck and Skin, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Operating/Intensive Care and Orthopaedics.

A number of the hospital´s employees are involved in carrying out their own national and international research assignments. We also provide training on behalf of universities, university colleges and Region Skåne. From the spring semester of 2012, first-level medical students from Lund University will spend four practical education semesters at the hospital.

Patients come to Helsingborg General Hospital from the whole of Northwest Skåne. We have 2,750 employees, 420 beds and a turnover of SEK 2.2 billion.
